Shayla Aubrecht

Raised in Merrillville, Indiana, Shayla Aubrecht relocated to Southern Alabama to begin her teaching career. After 4 years of teaching, she decided to put down the lesson plans and transition into the world of insurance.

Shayla now serves as a Commercial Lines Assistant and Surety Agent at Schneider Insurance, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting Commercial Account Managers and handling bonds for the agency. 

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Shayla’s enthusiasm is evident when she says, “The work environment is wonderful! And I love being able to use my multi-tasking and prioritization skills.” She praises the positive and supportive work environment, where she feels valued and respected. She particularly appreciates the opportunity to work with clients who are eager to learn and ask questions, as it reminds her of the inquisitive nature of her former students.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shayla leads an active lifestyle. She dedicates her time to practicing kickboxing and ballroom dancing, showcasing her athleticism and grace. She’s also known to appreciate a nice cup or two of coffee throughout the day.
