Lydia Applequist brings warmth, organization, and curiosity to every corner of the Schneider Insurance office. As our receptionist and an Account Manager in training, Lydia is often the first face you see when you walk through the door—and she plays a vital behind-the-scenes role supporting every department.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Lydia graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Psychology. After exploring various career paths, she found herself drawn to the dynamic, people-first world of insurance. Schneider Insurance is her first step into the industry, and she’s embraced the opportunity with energy and initiative—currently preparing for a role in our Bond and Life Department.
Lydia’s favorite part of the job is creating a smooth, welcoming experience for both clients and teammates. Whether she’s answering questions, organizing internal systems, or helping someone find the right person for their needs, she approaches her work with a spirit of service and genuine care. Her top strengths—initiative, optimism, and curiosity—shine through in every task she takes on.
